Studio Doma was created from a belief that heritage is not static, but layered, lived and capable of change. We approach old places as evolving environments, shaped by memory, material and the people who inhabit them.

Our Foundations

Studio Doma was founded by Sandra and Andrea Saravolac, shaped by a shared appreciation for architecture, history and the lived experience of place.

Growing up between Australia and the Balkans, we learned to see heritage as layered, textural and deeply connected to community. Those experiences taught us that old places are not static. They breathe, shift and continue to hold meaning as they adapt.

“Studio Doma” reflects our belief that heritage is ultimately about people, memory and belonging, and about giving the places we inherit thoughtful futures.

We created Studio Doma to offer heritage consulting that feels warm, grounded and design-minded. A practice that values clarity, collaboration and the quiet beauty of old buildings.

How We Work

Clear, Usable Advice

We translate heritage policy and planning controls into guidance that makes sense. Our role is to help you understand what’s possible and how to move forward with confidence.

Grounded in Place

Our work is shaped by local context, character and heritage controls. Every project responds to its setting, not just the rules that apply to it.

Care for Fabric and Story

We approach heritage as something to be understood before it is changed. Our advice is guided by the material, memory and meaning held within each place.

Design-Minded Thinking

We work alongside architects and designers to support thoughtful change. Our role is to help good design sit comfortably within historic environments.
